Description

In her book Harvest, Christine shared her passion for growing things and taking food straight from the garden or paddock into the kitchen. The Harvest Kitchen builds upon this philosophy, and brings you more recipes to ensure good, quick (not fast) food with minimal effort.
Follow the Stevens’s move to an organic wine and fruit farm in search of a healthy life and lots of space for their two young sons to grow. Very soon Christine realises that with no choice of ‘delis’ on the corner, her culinary style would need to change. Christine went back to her roots for inspiration, fond memories of working on local farms during school holidays to get pocket money, and later travelling around Europe getting seduced by the markets. Out went the city style of cooking with convenience along with a thousand deli ingredients as she was slowly seduced by the smell of baking, the taste of simple fresh ingredients and the joy of preserving sun-kissed fruits.

Featuring food background with a dash of growing advice, personal anecdotes and practical knowledge, each recipe is tried and tested and deliciously tasty. Christine shares tricks for keeping the pantry full of things to ensure healthy, delicious meals. The Harvest Kitchen offers a glimpse into the kitchen of an organic farm, exploring an organic lifestyle, and proving that the tastiest meals are often the simplest.

Good, fresh food – without the fuss.
